In 2022, we have once again decided to forego Christmas gifts for business partners. Instead, IGZ is donating the money earmarked for this purpose to seven food banks, social organisations and individual projects run by these organisations.

In mid-December 2022, the donation cheques for 2,000 euros each were presented to the food banks, associations and organisations at the company's Erbendorf site and at its headquarters in Falkenberg. A total of 14,000 euros will go to a good cause.

The decision for an employer is not an easy one, because often the multitude of career options almost resembles a "jungle". True to this image, the IT and automation company IGZ invited to an "expedition" and opened its doors to potential applicants of all ages and career levels with the "expedITion@IGZ".

Around 300 visitors accepted the invitation and experienced an interesting and varied program in Falkenberg and Erbendorf.

The company, which is known beyond the borders of the region, now invited to the first "expedITion@IGZ" in mid-November. On October 26 and 27, 2022 we invited for the first time to the IGZ INNOVATION DAYS and were pleased about more than 150 visitors. The two varied event days were all about warehouse, transport and production logistics, all about the SAP supply chain modules. The who's who of the industry gathered in the northern Upper Palatinate. We take a look back at the event.

Many highlights awaited the visitors at the IGZ INNOVATION DAYS, such as the SAP keynote speech by Jörg Michaelis, Vice President and Head of Logistics Product Management at SAP SE.

Ypsomed Holding AG is a Swiss listed company with headquarters in Burgdorf. Through a global network of production sites, subsidiaries and sales partners, approximately 1,900 employees generate annual sales equivalent to around 400 million euros.

The continuing success is driven by the two umbrella brands: "mylife Diabetescare" for the manufacture and sale of infusion and blood glucose monitoring systems, among others, and "Ypsomed Delivery Systems" for pen and auto-injectors, among others.

The two Upper Palatinate-based companies GRAMMER and IGZ can now look back on 15 years of successful business relations. During this time, we have implemented a number of software projects in GRAMMER logistics for the Amberg-based company, ensuring that GRAMMER's warehouse and transport management is always one step ahead of the tough competition in the automotive industry.

This successful collaboration was honoured on the occasion of the latest project with a symbolically planted tree and a small ceremony at the IGZ site in Falkenberg.

As a specialist for fastening technology, Hilti is the world's leading partner in the B2B sector. The Oberhausen Regional Distribution Center, which was commissioned in 1984 and expanded several times, most recently in 1999, forms the backbone of distribution logistics for Central Europe. Around 2.5 million delivery items are processed through it every year.

In order to adapt the Regional Distribution Center Oberhausen (RDCO), the largest DC in the Hilti logistics network, to future market requirements, the tool manufacturer has invested in an extensive retrofit and expansion project.

Remaining loyal to an employer for decades is no longer a matter of course these days. In light of this, gratitude is all the more due. The IT company IGZ honoured the 10th and 20th anniversaries of 23 company members at Falkenburg Castle.

The Hannover Messe was again held in person for the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. IGZ was present as an exhibitor at the world's leading trade fair for industry between 30 May and 2 June 2022 – this time it took place at the same time as the "LogiMAT" in Stuttgart.

With the guiding theme “TRANSFORMING INDUSTRY TOGETHER”, this year’s focus was on digitalisation and sustainability. After intensive weeks of preparation, our trade fair teams were very much looking forward to meeting our existing and potential customers face-to-face again. Around 75,000 people were on-site during the fair, and another 15,000 participated digitally.

The LogiMAT – International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management took place in Stuttgart from 31 May to 2 June 2022 as an in-person event once again for the first time.

The well-known intralogistics trade fair ran in parallel with the Hannover Messe, and we were represented with a total of three booths at both events at the same time. Our team was very much looking forward to being able to talk face-to-face with our existing and potential customers.

The highlight of the trade fair was our IGZ Best Practice PICK-BY-ROBOT®, a fully automated, robot-controlled and camera-based picking solution that enables 100% picking reliability and a zero-error rate in 24/7 operation.

For the second time in a row, IGZ was presented with the coveted German Innovation Award in "GOLD". Established by the German Design Council, the prize is awarded to highly innovative products and solutions. In May 2022, the SAP engineers from IGZ bagged the award for the "IDA2" worker assistance system. The abbreviation stands for "Intelligent Digital Assistant 2". This digital assistant is a currently unique, retrofittable worker assistance system that combines automated control and monitoring of assembly, logistics and quality processes in one system.

It is not limited to checking individual product features but recognises process interrelationships. To do so, the system aggregates the data from the camera-based monitoring of production steps and checks the workpiece and logistics.
