IGZ donates a total of 14,000 euros to regional associations and food banks

Once again this year, IGZ has decided to forego Christmas gifts for business partners. Instead, IGZ is donating the money earmarked for this purpose to seven food banks, social associations and individual projects of these associations. In mid-December 2022, the donation checks for 2,000 euros each were ceremoniously presented to the food banks, associations and organizations at the company's Erbendorf site and at its headquarters in Falkenberg. In total, 14,000 euros will go to the good cause.

"Helping where there is need".

Managing Director Johann Zrenner explains on the occasion of this year's Christmas donation campaign: "For some years now, we have preferred to donate the budget originally earmarked for Christmas gifts to business partners to regional associations and aid organizations from the towns in which our employees live. It is important to us that these associations work on a voluntary basis and for social purposes. We want to help where there is need, because that is where the money can be used even more sensibly and for people in our region."

In Falkenberg, Managing Director Johann Zrenner presented the donation checks together with his daughter Katharina, who is part of the already next generation of entrepreneurs. Here, the representatives of the Mitterteich, Weiden and Marktredwitz food banks accepted a total of 6,000 euros. In Erbendorf, Alfred Meyer, managing director of IGZ Automation, and site manager Achim Roth handed over 8,000 euros. 2,000 euros each to "Aktion Lichtblicke" in Tirschenreuth, the Bertold and Brigitte Hollering Foundation in Bad Alexandersbad, the Association for Landscape Conservation, Species Protection & Biodiversity (VLAB) in Erbendorf and the WCV Waldeck.

The guests endorsed the great commitment to the region and expressed their sincere thanks for the generous support. In recent years, IGZ had already given financial support to the food banks, associations, voluntary organizations and cultural workers from the region around the two company sites in Falkenberg and Erbendorf.
