Shuttle control systems directly from SAP highly automated shuttle systems are in, as the numerous ongoing implementation projects at well-known major German and international companies prove.
Shuttle systems are particularly suitable for automated small parts warehouses with very high performance requirements. Thanks to their compact design, they are characterized above all by speed, low acquisition costs and low maintenance, servicing and operating costs.
IGZ offers comprehensive solutions for shuttle direct control with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) and SAP Material Flow System (SAP MFS). This means that all strategies for the required optimizations can be mapped in the integrated SAP EWM material flow control.
Smart Shuttle Control
The advantage of scalable storage systems such as a shuttle system is that they can be expanded very flexibly: by adding individual shuttles, the performance and capacity of a system can be dynamically adapted to requirements. The modular storage system combines all the functions required for storage and transportation in one integrated system. The shuttle vehicles transport different load carriers horizontally on rails and vertically by lift to any location on the rack. Each shuttle receives its transport orders from the computer via a local wireless network (wireless LAN). The entire system is controlled by the SAP EWM / SAP MFS warehouse management system.

- All processes, from the GR to storage and retrieval of the containers in the shuttle-AKL to the supply and control of the picking and packing stations, are carried out via SAP EWM / MFS
