IGZ jubilarians celebrate at Falkenberg Castle

Falkenberg/Erbendorf, 13.07.2022 // Remaining loyal to an employer for decades is no longer a matter of course these days. In light of this, gratitude is all the more due. That’s why the IT company IGZ celebrated the 10- and 20-year jubilees of 23 company members at Falkenberg Castle at the beginning of July. Together with company successor Philipp Gropengiesser and Managing Director Christian Mattes, senior founder Wolfgang Gropengiesser thanked the IGZ jubilarians for their many years of loyalty to the company.

"There is increasingly a battle for specialised skilled workers in the IT and automation industry, and this has now extended into Northern Upper Palatinate," Christian Mattes stressed. "It is becoming increasingly rare for employees to stay with the same company for ten or twenty years." Not so with IGZ: The ceremonial honour was attended by employees, some of whom even completed their training at IGZ and witnessed how the company has grown steadily since its foundation in 1999. Back then, no one could have imagined that the workforce would one day grow from a "handful" to around 550 employees. At the same time, the number of customer projects in the international IT and logistics environment increased; the company headquarters in Falkenberg was also steadily expanded, and Plant 2 in Erbendorf was added with a focus on control and automation technology. During the festive evening with a banquet at Falkenberg Castle, IGZ founder Wolfgang Gropengiesser paid tribute to the extraordinary services of the jubilarians: "Our employees are the most important pillars of our company. Without you, we would not be where we are today. That's why we hope to be able to count on you for a long time to come." The bosses thanked each and every one of them with IGZ jubilee pennants in SILVER and GOLD, bouquets of flowers for the ladies, vouchers for wellness weekends and an additional month’s salary for their tireless commitment and loyalty. Magician Marco Knott from Bärnau provided magical moments of entertainment on this festive evening with his tricks.

Gerlinde Bächer, Markus Meiler and Achim Roth were honoured for 20 years of service. Honoured for ten years (in alphabetical order):
