Review of the IGZ INNOVATION DAYS 2023
We look back with you on two varied days (October 24 and 25, 2023) entirely dedicated to warehouse, transport and production logistics - the IGZ INNOVATION DAYS! After an already very successful event premiere last year, we again did everything to ensure that every visitor got his or her money's worth. In total, we were able to welcome more than 160 visitors.
Day one kicked off with the IGZ keynote, held by the two managing directors Johann Zrenner and Alfred Meyer, and the SAP keynote by Jörg Michaelis, Vice President and Head of Logistics Product Management at SAP. He was followed by inspiring technical presentations by global players such as WAGO, ContiTech, bilstein group, MTU Aero Engines, BHS Global Logistics and the Hoffmann Group. They all presented projects that focused on digitization and increased efficiency.
The highlight of the first day was the "IGZ Zoiglabend" with specially brewed Zoigl beer and Oberpfälzer delicacies - the ideal setting for a relaxed exchange but also for longer conversations with the speakers, SAP experts and other event participants.
On day two , deep-dive sessions were held at the IGZ Innovation Center in Falkenberg. Here, experts from various areas along the digital supply chain gave the interested audience insights into current specialist and trend topics . For example, they showed ways to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in the long term. Key topics were the interaction of AI applications, zero touch technology and the sustainability concept forCO2 savings.
How they can optimize their production, manufacturing and logistics processes was demonstrated to visitors at the trade exhibition with over 30 IGZ best practices/live demos. The IGZ range of services covers all areas of production and logistics, such as the LUKE3 pick-by-robot solution, the IDA3 worker assistance system and AI-controlled solutions such as smart slotting.
The grand finale was the tour of the logistics center of BHS Corrugated, the world market leader for system solutions in the corrugated board industry. Here, the guests were able to gain exciting first-hand insights for their own future intralogistics projects.
