IGZ Falkenberg recognised in 2008 as one of Bavaria's top fifty businesses

IGZ BAYERNS BEST 50 2008

Falkenberg-based IGZ Logistics + IT has been the recipient of a very special accolade by the Bavarian State government: on 2 July 2008, the company was recognised as one of the top fifty businesses in all of Bavaria by Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs, Transport and Technology Emilia Müller. The coveted accolade of being a "BAVARIA'S BEST 50" company was accepted in person by the two managing partners of IGZ Logistics + IT, Wolfgang Gropengießer and Johann Zrenner, from the Bavarian State Minister at an awards ceremony held in the Munich Residenz.

Each year, the regional government awards this prize in recognition of the Free State of Bavaria's 50 most dynamic companies, who have managed to achieve the kind of employee and revenue growth over a five-year period that is able to set them head and shoulders above the competition. Organised by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the accolade is one of the most coveted prizes that the Free State is able to award. Prize-winners are selected on the basis of a stringent set of index criteria drawn up by a prestigious and independent auditing company, further underlining the significance of this prize – which attracts entries from several hundred companies every year.

In accordance with this "Birch Index", whose criteria involve employee and revenue growth – and the continuity of this growth – over a five-year observation period, only the 50 best businesses from Bavaria are eligible to receive the award. "It is to our employees' great credit that IGZ has also managed this kind of growth over the last few years," said IGZ's owners and executive directors Johann Zrenner and Wolfgang Gropengießer, praising the hard work of their staff and wishing to pass on the gratitude of the Bavarian state government for this economic achievement to what is now a workforce of over 80 people. "This award is a justification of our work and an incentive to even greater things. We intend to work with our customers to safeguard our growth for the future," said the two company owners.
