IGZ defends top position in Fraunhofer ranking and extends its lead

For the second consecutive year, IGZ secures the top position in the LVS and TMS evaluation conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in Dortmund: In the categories SAP EWM/MFS and SAP TM, IGZ achieves the highest functional coverage of all requirements – and has further extended its lead in SAP EWM/MFS compared to the previous year.
For decision-makers in supply chain and logistics, this once again provides independent evidence of IGZ's strong implementation expertise in demanding SAP logistics solutions.

Two Top Positions for IGZ

Around 5,000 logistics and IT functional requirements, KO criteria and functions weighted equally, formed the basis of this year's evaluation. The result: IGZ once again achieves first place in both categories.

  • SAP EWM/MFS: With a 3% lead over the runner-up, IGZ establishes an even clearer lead than ever before – last year, the gap was still 1%. This positions IGZ ahead not only of SAP, but also of all other SAP partners as well as non-SAP providers of warehouse management systems (WMS). Particularly positive ratings included the broad support for a wide range of warehouse technologies and types, as well as strong integration capabilities with material flow control systems (MFS).
  • SAP TM: IGZ also maintains its leading position in transportation management with a clear margin – ahead of SAP, all SAP partners and non-SAP TMS providers. The solution performed particularly well in multimodal transport chains, transport cost controlling, warehouse integration, and the mapping of modern telematics and track-and-trace functions within a lean SAP app.

Fraunhofer Evaluation as an Independent Point of Reference

The Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML regularly evaluates the capabilities of providers and solutions in the field of logistics IT. Key areas of focus include the support of logistics processes, adaptability and usability, as well as technological innovations – for example in the field of artificial intelligence.

The fact that IGZ has once again achieved the top position in both categories and has even further extended its lead in SAP EWM/MFS compared to the previous year underscores IGZ's high level of functional performance and specialized SAP expertise. For companies looking to digitalize and optimize their warehouse and transportation processes with SAP EWM and SAP TM, the ranking therefore provides an important independent point of reference.
