IGZ defends top position in Fraunhofer ranking and extends its lead

For the second time in a row, IGZ has secured first place in the Logistics IT Online Selection by warehouse logistics from the Fraunhofer Institute IML in Dortmund: In the categories SAP EWM/MFS and SAP TM, IGZ achieves the highest functional coverage of all requirements when all criteria in the questionnaire are weighted equally – and was even able to extend its lead in SAP EWM/MFS compared to the previous year.
For decision-makers in supply chain and logistics, this is once again independent proof of IGZ's strong implementation expertise in demanding SAP logistics solutions.

What the warehouse logistics selection offers

The Logistics IT Online Selection by warehouse logistics does not crown a single, universally "best" system. Instead, it enables a structured comparison based on specific, customer-defined requirements. This is precisely what makes IGZ's placement so meaningful: it is based on an individualized, requirements-driven comparison rather than a blanket rating.

Two top rankings for IGZ

Around 5,000 logistics and IT functional requirements, knockout criteria, and functions – all weighted equally – formed the basis of this year's evaluation. The figures evaluated were data validated by warehouse logistics from the 2026 phase. The result: with medium weighting applied to all criteria, IGZ once again takes first place in both categories.

• SAP EWM/MFS: With a 3% lead over the runner-up, IGZ prevails more clearly than ever – last year the margin was just 1%.
• SAP TM: IGZ also once again claims the top spot in transportation management.

The comparison considered requirements from areas including warehouse technology and warehouse types, AI, robotics, material flow control, multimodal transport chains, transportation cost controlling, warehouse integration, as well as telematics and track & trace.

Fraunhofer evaluation as an independent point of reference

The Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML regularly examines the performance of providers and solutions in the field of logistics IT. The focus is on aspects such as support for logistics processes, adaptability and user-friendliness, as well as technical innovations – for example in the field of artificial intelligence.

The fact that IGZ has once again achieved the top position in both categories under medium weighting, and even extended its lead in SAP EWM/MFS compared to the previous year, underscores IGZ's strong functional performance and specialized SAP expertise.
