SAP Digital Manufacturing: IGZ sets new standards at Hannover Messe 2025
The Hannover Messe is not only a stage for technological innovations, but also a central meeting point for the industry. From March 31 to April 4, 2025, we took the opportunity to present the latest developments in SAP Digital Manufacturing, hold exciting discussions with industry experts and provide impetus for the future of digital manufacturing.
Hannover Messe sets standards once again
Under this year's guiding theme of "Industrial Transformation", Hannover Messe focused on the far-reaching changes in industry. Companies are facing the challenge of making their production and value creation processes more efficient, sustainable and digital. This includes the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), automated manufacturing processes, the increased use of data analysis and cloud technologies as well as the shift towards a carbon-neutral industry.
The focus was particularly on solutions for networked production, digital twins, Manufacturing-X and the use of renewable energies and hydrogen technologies. Hannover Messe once again brought together leading technology providers, industrial companies and decision-makers to drive innovation and set new standards for digital and sustainable industry.
In this context, manufacturing execution systems (MES) make a significant contribution to the digitalization of production processes. We showcased our broad spectrum in the area of SAP DIGITAL MANUFACTURING (SAP DM) for discrete manufacturing and the process industry.
With the help of selected IGZ use cases, trade visitors were able to see for themselves how the use of SAP Digital Manufacturing can optimize production processes.
Our use cases at a glance:
- Assembly by Motion | IDA3: Assembly by Motion, the AI-supported worker assistance system, makes smart, error-free assembly a reality. The camera-guided intervention and assembly control ensures process reliability and maximum efficiency. Integration into SAP DM ensures seamless production and quality processes.
- Weighing + Dispensing: System-guided component weighing navigates your employees safely through the entire weighing and dispensing process. This ensures optimum product quality through automatic compliance with tolerance limits. Furthermore, the use of W+D enables seamless batch traceability. Thanks to integrated in-process controls, the quality status is available in real time at all times.
- Electronic Work Instruction: EWI offers dynamic online worker guidance by means of detailed process specifications and phases based on the process order, which guides employees through complex manufacturing processes in a structured and reliable manner. Integrated quality checks ensure the highest product quality. Automated process data acquisition and evaluation ensures 100% traceability.
- Fill+Pack: This solution is tailored to the special requirements of automatic filling and packaging processes. FILL+PACK enables complete traceability and supports the recording of key performance indicators such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), offers the option of fine order control and extended control station functionalities. This allows the entire production process to be monitored and optimized in real time.
- Flow+Pack: Flow+Pack is ideal for the automation of interlinked production lines, such as those found in confectionery production. With features such as a pre-configured control station and real-time quality checks, this best practice ensures that production progress and product quality remain transparent and controllable at all times. Necessary paper-based processes for quality data feedback are eliminated and paperless production becomes a reality.
Sharing ideas in a relaxed atmosphere
A special highlight of our trade fair presence this year was once again the traditional IGZ Zoigl evening. In a relaxed atmosphere, the event offered the perfect opportunity for personal exchange away from the hustle and bustle of the trade fair. Over traditional Zoigl beer and Bavarian specialities, customers, partners and interested parties came together to discuss current industry trends, digitalization topics and future projects.
Thank you for a successful Hannover Messe 2025!
We would like to thank all visitors to our stand for the interesting discussions and the interest they showed. The positive feedback encourages us to continue developing innovative solutions for the challenges of industrial transformation.
We are already looking forward to the next Hannover Messe and to presenting our latest developments to you again.
