Grown partnership: GRAMMER and IGZ
Ursensollen/Falkenberg, 15.07.2022 // The two Upper Palatinate-based companies GRAMMER and IGZ can look back on a successful business relationship that now spans 15 years. During this time, the SAP engineers from Falkenberg have implemented several software projects in GRAMMER logistics for the Amberg-based company, so that GRAMMER warehouse and transport management is always one step ahead in the fierce competition of the automotive industry. This successful collaboration was honored on the occasion of the latest project with a symbolically planted tree and a small ceremony at the IGZ site in Falkenberg.
GRAMMER relied on the know-how of Falkenberger for the first time in 2007. For warehouse management and material flow control, the standard software of the world market leader for enterprise software, SAP SE, was introduced. After this first project was very successful, further logistics projects and most recently a software project for global transport planning were started with IGZ. As a result, transport processes are simplified and planned more efficiently. Florian Herold, Commodity Buyer at GRAMMER, expressed his gratitude for the long-standing support and the invitation to Falkenberg: "IGZ 'lives logistics'. The company can look back on a wealth of experience in SAP software implementations and has been a trusted partner for us from the very beginning."
The proverbial fruitful cooperation between the two companies in the Upper Palatinate is now also visible in the form of a four-meter-high maple tree on the IGZ campus in Falkenberg. The tree was planted jointly against the backdrop of the new IGZ main building. This "NOMINATION TREE" campaign initiated by GRAMMER underlines the ecological awareness of GRAMMER, which has been driving this initiative with all strategic project partners since 2021. Johannes Zeitler, IGZ Senior Key Account Manager/Sales, commented on this sustainable action with the words: "A tree is a symbol for environmental protection, growth and durability. Our cooperation has 'grown' over the years and during the joint projects we have in a way also 'grown together' as people. We are, of course, also looking forward to the upcoming projects." Inspired by this GRAMMER initiative, IGZ is now also planning to plant trees with other customers and project partners on an occasion-by-occasion basis, thus contributing to the growing "GRAMMER Forest" worldwide.
