IGZ to Focus on SAP Digital Manufacturing at Hannover Messe 2026

The Hannover Messe is regarded as an international hub for industry, technology, and innovation. From April 20 to 24, 2026, IGZ once again took advantage of this world-leading trade fair to present the latest developments in SAP Digital Manufacturing, showcase specific use cases, and foster deeper engagement with trade visitors, customers, and partners.

Hannover Messe 2026: Driving the Future of Manufacturing

Under the theme of industrial transformation, Hannover Messe 2026 highlighted key future topics in industrial manufacturing. The focus included the end-to-end digitalization of production processes, robotics, data-driven decision-making models, the use of AI and machine learning, and the integration of IT and shop floor systems.

The trade fair thus once again provided a platform for technology providers, industrial companies, and decision-makers to exchange ideas as they work together on solutions for efficient, transparent, and future-proof production. Practical approaches to implementing end-to-end processes based on SAP standard software were particularly in demand.

Experience SAP Digital Manufacturing and Best Practices Live

At the IGZ booth G40 in Hall 15, industry professionals were able to experience through live demos how production processes can be mapped end-to-end with SAP Digital Manufacturing—from SAP S/4HANA through SAP DM down to the machine and plant level.

The presentation featured use cases and industry solutions from discrete manufacturing and the process industry, complemented by proven IGZ best practices with numerous AI scenarios. The focus was consistently on practical implementation, high transparency, and seamless integration throughout the entire production process.

Automated Manufacturing Cells
The live demo showcased an end-to-end integration of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Digital Manufacturing, and shop floor systems. Automated NC workflows, digital quality processes with deviation and inspection management, as well as an AI-based Smart Factory Cockpit for visualizing OEE, KPIs, and performance, along with an AI-based shift log and analytics, provided a transparent view of production in real time. Another highlight was the integration with the industrial data platform of our partner UMH.

Smart Factory Process Industry: Tank Management | Batch Processing | Fill + Pack
For batch and continuous processes, IGZ demonstrated a practical solution using the example of a brewing process with real-time transparency across tanks, lines, and production progress. Digital, system-guided operator processes supported paperless workflows, while end-to-end batch traceability and a central control station ensured quality, progress, and OEE.

Practical Presentation: ContiTech and IGZ

A highlight of the program was the presentation by ContiTech at the SAP Live Forum on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Using the new ContiTech plant in Mexico as an example, the presentation demonstrated how the global SAP Digital Manufacturing Template, implemented with IGZ, can serve as a global template for the production of the future.

The focus was on bidirectional machine integration scenarios, integrated quality controls, and seamless traceability—implemented using SAP standard software, IGZ best practices, and a clear focus on scalability and future-proofing.

Networking in a relaxed atmosphere: IGZ Zoiglbier Evening

Once again in 2026, the IGZ Zoiglbier Evening at the booth offered an opportunity for personal exchange away from the daily hustle of the trade show. Over traditional Zoiglbier and Bavarian delicacies, customers, partners, and interested parties came together to discuss current projects, industry trends, and the challenges of digital production.

Thank you for five successful days at the trade show

IGZ would like to thank all visitors for the numerous discussions, the interest in our solutions, and the open professional exchange. Hannover Messe 2026 has once again demonstrated the significant demand for practical, integrated solutions for digital production.

We look forward to incorporating the insights gained into future projects.
