New chapter in a story of success
The extension to the company buildings of IGZ Automation GmbH in the industrial park has been completed. As a result, the company almost doubled its office and production areas. 50 additional jobs were created by the measure. The official opening ceremony took place on Friday.
The ambitious project could be completed within six months. The business is now provided with an additional area of 450 square metres for offices as well as 250 square metres for production. The new offices are fitted out with the best equipment: The workplaces have electric height-adjustable writing desks, and value was placed on providing the most modern office infrastructure, such as with a network, electric cabling and PC-based telephony about seven kilometres long. The rooms are air-conditioned with a gas heating boiler.
Further expansion possible
The company moreover has the option of increasing the office spaces with an additional floor if required. A future extension of the building which was constructed in a highly thermal insulated wooden framework design has been considered.
The company Walberer Steuerungstechnik GmbH, founded in 1994, moved to the industrial estate four years ago. In the same year, the “IGZ Ingenieurgesellschaft für logistische Informations-systeme mbH” from Falkenberg bought a majority share in the company. Since then, the Erbendorf site has been integrated into the company as "IGZ Automation GmbH".
Capacities too tight
Due to the positive development of the company and the new workplaces, the building’s capacities were no longer sufficient. This is why the company management decided on the extension. The cut of the spade was made for this in July and in January 2015 the employees could move into the building.
