SAP MII EWI (Electronic Work Instruction)
With the EWI (Electronic Work Instruction) module, IGZ has expanded its SAP® MII Best Practices to include a further integrative component for connecting to production facilities with SAP® MES.
Electronic work instructions used for the presentation, processing and confirmation of process manufacturing instructions include the following:
- Process instruction sheets
- Process messages
- Display process standard values or pass these to machinery
- QM inspection lot processing
- Display of hazardous material notices and symbols from SAP EH&S
The local data retention in SAP® MII enables autonomous processing.
Operators benefit from the deployment of EWI, and especially from the system-assisted guidance of personnel through the process phases, the dynamic control of production facilities and the transfer of process parameters (digital/analogue I/O adapter).
Other advantages include automated process data recording, the provisioning of up-to-date production reference documentation and safety instructions, digital signatures – e.g. via RFID – integrated QM processing, paperless production and the vertical integration via a PI-PCS interface.
