With SAP MII (SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence) Energy management, IGZ provides a solution that reduces costs through the achievement of potentials for energy savings. The solution allows comprehensive visualisation of energy consumption online and energy-optimised control. The use of new technologies, such as smart grids is also supported. The need for efficient use of energy is also becoming acutely urgent in particular due to scarcity of resources, rising and volatile energy costs, temporary supply breakdowns and increasing pressure from the legislature. Potential energy savings are visible, and energy flows from the facilities and blocks constantly monitored and evaluated in detail. A source-related assignment of load peaks and energy flows to individual plant and machinery is possible without any difficulties. The controlled automatic shutdown of Prio-B consumers in times of day with increased energy consumption leads to significant reduction and avoidance of load peaks. Supported by long-term evaluations of energy indicators and trends, it is possible to draft indicative energy reports, for example, as a basis for audits or for long-term energy planning.
