ContiTech is driving digital transformation forward: With the introduction of SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) at the Korbach site and the global roll-out, the company is creating paperless, efficient production. The cloud-based solution enables real-time data, AI-supported detailed planning and maximum process reliability - a milestone on the way to the smart factory.

On November 14–15, 2024, IGZ participated in the Logistik & Transport fair in Gothenburg – the key event for the international logistics and transport industry. With over 130 exhibitors and 5,000 professionals attending, the event served as a prime platform to explore the latest innovations and trends in the field.

In focus were global challenges such as climate change, profitability in logistics, and the distinct dynamics of the Nordic logistics landscape. On October 22 and 23, more than 180 logistics and manufacturing professionals gathered in Falkenberg to explore the latest trends and technologies in Logistics and Digital Manufacturing.

The event featured an inspiring mix of keynotes, hands-on deep dive sessions, and live demos.

Highlights included AI-driven warehouse strategies and SAP-based worker assistance systems.

The evening concluded in Bavarian style with the traditional Zoigl evening—an ideal setting for networking and exchanges.

Sondershausen, Falkenberg, 20.08.2024 // The connection and automation specialist WAGO is expanding its central warehouse in Sondershausen.

After laying the foundation stone in autumn 2023, the building cube is now standing on the 35,000 square meter site, into which the steel structures for the automated shuttle, small parts and replenishment high-bay warehouses will be installed by the second quarter of 2024.

In addition, the diverse robotics solutions for de- and palletizing, order picking as well as carton erectors and sealers also testify to the high degree of automation that IGZ Automation GmbH is implementing as general contractor in Sondershausen in conjunction with full SAP EWM/MFS integration.

The extensive shipping automation completes the zero-touch approach that WAGO pursues, in addition to high sustainability.

Over 200 million euros have been invested in the newly built LogisticCity - the largest investment in the history of Hoffmann SE, which goes back over a hundred years.

The high-performance tool logistics facility with adjoining TechnologyCenter is the Hoffmann Group's global central warehouse.

It is located on a 21.5 hectare site and has a record-breaking floor space of around 100,000 square metres - the equivalent of around 13 football pitches. The centrepiece of the central logistics hub is a shuttle warehouse with around 560,000 storage spaces.

Up to 40,000 consignments can be dispatched daily with maximum delivery quality. The new logistics center at the Weiherhammer site combines production supply and spare parts distribution for BHS Corrugated, a global solution provider for the complex requirements of the corrugated cardboard industry, under one roof.
