The special service of both engineers Gropengießer and Zrenner was taking the initially two-man company IGZ Ingenieurgesellschaft out of their parents' barn and expanding it into one of the leading SAP engineering services providers for logistics and production in the German-speaking world, with a current total of over 300 employees. Furthermore, Aigner acknowledged the commitment of both founder for their special contribution to the positive development of the region of North Oberpfalz and their voluntary as well as social commitment.

Johann Zrenner and Wolfgang Gropengießer dedicate the award to all of the employees in the IGZ company group: "We're very pleased that the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs has honoured our commitment over the past 17 years in this way. That's because it's important even in our region to keep highlighting the contribution of medium-sized family companies to employment and wellbeing", says Gropengießer. "This doesn't just honour as people, but in a special way it's also an appreciation of the successful work of all of our employees at IGZ, whose commitment and performance we have to thank for the fact that our family business has a leading position in the German-speaking world", adds Zrenner.

The district administrator of the County of Tirschenreuth, Mr Wolfgang Lippert, the 1st Mayor of the Falkenberg/Opf. Market, Mr Herbert Bauer, and the CEO of the IHK board Weiden, Mr Florian Rieder, also travelled to Munich specially to attend the official ceremony and to congratulate both of the Oberpfalz awardees and their families in person. Alongside the awarding of both IGZ founders, district administrator Wolfgang Lippert presented both IGZ founders with a gift in the form of a watercolour of the "IGZ software barns" from regional artist Rudolf Jäger from Tirschenreuth on behalf of the county and the region and was please "to be able to count a flagship company such as IGZ part of his county".
