More than 2,000 stacker cranes controlled with SAP MFS

Customers benefit from over 20 years of IGZ experience

Stuttgart/Falkenberg, 28 March 2022 // IGZ has reached a new record: IGZ successfully controls more than 2,000 stacker cranes and well over 1,000 shuttle vehicles with SAP EWM/MFS standard software in automated small-parts and high-bay warehouses. This underpins the SAP engineers’ leading expertise in highly automated, SAP-controlled intralogistics systems.

This impressive number is another major success in the company’s 22-year history. The special thing about this is that both the stacker cranes and the shuttles come from a variety of different manufacturers and have been successfully put into operation in projects at more than 450 companies worldwide. The customers come from sectors including automotive, electronics, mechanical engineering and fashion. Among them are logistics facilities with a material flow capacity of up to 12,000 containers per hour or up to 100,000 shipping boxes per day, which SAP EWM masters, and the trend is still rising. Holger Häring, Sales Division Manager at IGZ, comments: “We are already looking forward to installing the next 1,000 shuttle vehicles. And at the same time, we are proud of our first references in the field of fully automated robotic picking with SAP EWM.”

"We are proud of our record and the number of installations achieved.”

Presentation at LogiMAT digital event and trade fair stands in Stuttgart

“The number of installations underlines our many years of expertise. But even more important to us is the customer satisfaction this generates and the loyalty of our existing customers,” says Holger Häring. “IGZ customers benefit as a result of our independence from manufacturers and the consequent ideal mix of technology for the customised implementation of their requirements. This is what we stand for, and it will be on show for all to see at LogiMAT in spring.” IGZ will be participating in the LogiMAT Digital event on 12 May with a presentation on “Logistics Planning with a Focus on SAP”. SAP engineers will also be present in Stuttgart to advise interested parties directly on site during the three-day trade fair. The company will present its service portfolio in Hall 1 (Stand B25) and Hall 8 (Stand B47).

A partner for all project phases

Companies planning to invest in their intralogistics in the near future can see for themselves and find out about the options at both events. Because IGZ, as a general planner and partner for all project phases, provides the entire intelligence of the intralogistics system (SAP and control technology) – all from a single source.
