Standard interfaces for direct connections between SAP and logistics components
For direct communication of SAP LES / TRM or SAP EWM with external warehouse periphery of all kinds, standardized gateways, which are based on open communication and SAP standards, can be applied.
Using these communication gateways means that mobile data terminals, pick-by-vice clients, electrical weighing units, pick-by/to-light displays, RFID reading devices or programmable logic controllers (PLC) can be connected directly to SAP without any middleware.

The benefits for the IT infrastructure using SAP standardized communications are as follows:
• The logics of the applications are completely based on SAP. There are no more dependencies to further software providers
• There is no logic of application or no buffering of data in middleware components or subsystems necessary
IGZ offers such gateway products that are developed on basis of the SAP specifications and integrates these reliable gateways within systems architectures.
