The material flow system (MFS) integrated in SAP EWM makes it possible for conveyor systems to be linked directly to SAP by means of a programmable logic controller (PLC).
With the material flow system, the transport of handling units on a conveyor system is controlled, conveyor segments are activated or deactivated, conveyor segments are grouped together and the exchange of telegrams to the PLC level is managed.
